While death is not the point of Fear's events, with the varying levels of danger involved it's a fairly common side effect. Upon dying, Hope will revive your character within a few days after death. (This can be extended if you would like to combine it with a hiatus.) There are no side effects or death price involved with resurrection, but the more often your character dies, the more likely Hope is to get a little sloppy. He only has so much power, after all, and resurrections are a big drain on it.

If your character dies often or in quick succession, they may come back not quite right. Their organs may work improperly, they might have misshapen or missing limbs, or they may experience a certain amount of memory loss or personality disruption. This is mostly at player discretion, but if the mods notice your character has been dying a lot, we might ask if you'd like to enjoy some delightful unfortunate effects!

A few hours after death, your character's body will disappear from where it was. It'll be restored fully by Hope over the course of a few days. After that characters awaken on the altar in Hope's temple, fully dressed and with everything they had on them when they died. Things laying nearby (a weapon, a backpack) but not actually on the body will remain where they are, and you'll have to go find them again.
