Heyo! So, firstly- we really appreciate the interest you've taken in the game and we absolutely don't mind answering questions about the setting! Hooooowever, some of the super in-depth questions are difficult to answer without micromanaging the setting, which is something that we originally set out to avoid. While we'll answer as many of these questions as we feel comfortable with, we're also giving you more-or-less free reign to come up with your own answers in regards to a lot of the very specific setting questions. If you're wondering if something you're going with is okay, you're absolutely free to ask, but for the time being, we'd prefer it if the smaller details were left to player discretion- just so we can avoid contradicting any players who have assumed certain things about the setting already!

Now, with that in mind, let's get down to it:

Materials/Parts
-The components are made of the same elements you'd find on earth, as the periodic table is thusfar kind of universal and certain elements are better at their jobs than others (a gold-plated microwave would... actually, I'm not sure but I really don't think that would be a great idea).
-The elements therefore, behave the same scientifically as they would on earth (they have the same melting temperatures, the same freezing temperatures, half lives, all that fun stuff)
-I don't see why parts couldn't be melted down and repurposed! This question is a little confusing, but essentially, just assume that they're similar base elements- maybe some with slightly different composition (ie: different purities of metal, etc), so they're workable.

Construction/Deconstruction/Reconstruction
-The exactness of the differences differs from item to item, but most of them would be missing key components that would actually cause the devices to work properly- a few wires missing, no power cord, some ceramic plating not where it should be, or simply just a cloud of glitter that puffs out when a panel is opened up- they all have their differences. Nothing is floating inside or behaving in physical in ways that it should not, but there are no clear indications as to how devices are working if they don't have x or y components.
-Machines probably wouldn't stop working if parts are taken out, but we'll leave that up to you! They could work less effectively, they could stop entirely, but that might be uncommon, and there'd be no specific common part that, once removed, would cause everything to suddenly stop.
-If the parts that are salvaged work without magic when put together in other makeups then that would be fine! Please ask us specifically if your character would like to create a large/helpful thing (it likely won't be a problem, we'd just want to talk about it!)
-They would not work differently! The parts themselves are not enchanted.

Application of magic in mechanical engineering
We're going to go ahead and cut off the line of questioning here with a quick explanation! The machines essentially work because of the gods' magic themselves, not because of their physical components. Therefore, magic could not be isolated and replicated unless a character knows a spell for microwaving food or doing laundry or something of the sort, at which point fiddling with these items would become kind of redundant.

It's basically an expansion of the idea that the gods created things that their previous hosts and their current humans think should work, but the gods don't understand the science or reasoning of how they work because they've never really interacted with a human society before. Therefore, the gods make it in the image that they think is most appropriate, and then make it work the way that they think it should with their magic, sort of how the blessings work by segmenting a small portion of their power to another host (the host here being your washing machine). Hopefully that makes sense!
