How does Hope feel about companion monster type creatures?

Specifically a companion creature that is an original fictional creature based on a cross between a small dragon ( about 5' high at the ears ) and a feline. Not as intelligent as a droid or a Hearld's Companion, but more intelligent than a dog.

Are these permissible?
